The DPMS eighth grader said the current galvanized pipe goalposts, probably placed in the early 1980s, “needed some help.”
Lundgren began his project by soliciting community donations to purchase new goalposts.

Stevens County libraries plan equipment upgrades

August 22, 2013

Various branches of Libraries of Stevens County, including the one at Loon Lake, will be closed over the next month to complete technology upgrades.
Most branches will be closed for two consecutive days to allow for equipment upgrades and installation and staff training. Only one branch will be closed at a time.
The library district currently uses Microsoft XP, but many current Microsoft programs cannot be accessed with that operating system, hence the need for the equipment change.
The equipment upgrades will also include replacing some of the library district’s older computers.
