Spokane County Sheriffâ€™s Office Deputies and K-9 Deacon were able to locate a suspect who had violated a domestic violence protecting order and fled a Deer Park residence during the late hours on March 11.
The incident began when Spokane County Sheriffâ€™s Deputy Daniel Dutton responded to a possible domestic dispute in the 400 block of South Evergreen Court in Deer Park around 9:30 p.m. Several deputies responded to the area to help locate the suspect who reportedly left the scene on foot prior to their arrival.

Ken Minden of Deer Park passed away at home after a four-year long battle with metastic colon cancer at the age of 61.
He was a loving husband for 43 years to Candy Minden; wonderful father to Danette (John) Brewster of Newport News, Va., and Darin Minden of Deer Park; a special grandfather to Kevin, Rebecca and Alyssa Minden and Kylee Brewster; a brother to Virgil (Carol) Minden of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Ed (Gail) Minden of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; a son of Saron Minden (deceased) and Gladys Crumley; and a son-in-law to Gail (Edna - deceased) Marlow of Nine Mile Falls.
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of persons involved in a theft of a medical marijuana dispensary in Elk.
Employees at JDâ€™s Garden at N39817 Newport Highway determined the burglary took place sometime late on March 2 or early on March 3. More than 20 ounces of marijuana, two custom marijuana pipes and 38 THC infused chocolate bars were stolen.
Evelyn Esther Sturtevant-Hill, age 98, passed away at home in Deer Park on March 4, 2014.
She was born in Springboro, Pa., and married William Byron Hill in 1937. They moved to California in 1940 where she spent 61 wonderful years with Bill until he passed away in 2001.
She moved to Deer Park in 2004 to live with her nephew, Ralph W. Cuthbert.
He remarked: She was a wonderful person with the most pleasant personality I have known! I used to tease her by saying â€śEveryone likes you . . . but I donâ€™t know why.â€ť She would laugh.
Warren Jay Nord, 86 years of life and very longtime resident of Clayton, passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.
Warren is the dear husband of Lorraine Marie Nord (married 44 years) and the loving father and father-in-law of Tracy Nord Hoffman and Cory and Ammy Nord. He enjoyed five grandchildren,: Jason Hoffman, Alex Hoffman, Maygen Nord, Colesen Nord, and Catherine Hoffman. His two nieces are Vicky (Alan) Pyles and Nancy (Brian) Berger. There are numerous cousins and other relatives.
Mary Walker School District officials are still sorting out events surrounding a bus crash today that sent 6-8 students to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.
The bus was traveling on Cemetery Road near State Highway 231 when it left the roadway and landed on its side.
Law enforcement officials said the road was covered by a sheet of ice.
The students were able to escape from the bus by the time emergency crews arrived. The uninjured students were taken to school on another bus.
