Larry Elwood Morrill, 77, as born on Nov. 7, 1935, in Milan, Wash., to Eldon B. and Roberta (Coons) Morrill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eldon B., 18 months old.
He is survived by his brother, Dana (Ruth) and many nephews, nieces and cousins in the community.
Larry never married. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle man who loved children. He also never met a dog he didn't like.
He spent his school years in Colville and Newport. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and many local sawmills and farms in the area.
The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to identify an elderly male who was found deceased on Feb. 13 on a mountain east of Addy by a citizen who was hiking in the area.
The death does not appear to be criminal in nature.
The male is thought to be transient and had no identification with him. He is approximately 6-foot-4 to 6-foot-5 and weighs approximately 128 pounds. He had salt-and-pepper long hair that was pulled back in a ponytail and a long beard. The male has brown eyes and a mole above the right eye on the eyelid.
