The Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) will file the necessary CR103 for Initiative 502 later this week. Filing the CR103 is the formal procedure for adoption of the proposed rules for the implementation of I-502 and the final step in the rulemaking process.
These rules will serve as the basis for Washington’s newly created recreational marijuana market and are the result of 10 months of research and public input. Thirty days after adoption the rules will become effective, November 16.
The Deer Park Stags travel to Cheney for a 7 p.m. game on Friday in a battle of two teams searching for their first Great Northern League win.
The Stags fell to 0-2 (1-5 overall) in the GNL last Friday with an 18-7 loss to West Valley. The Blackhawks also sport a 0-2 GNL mark (4-2 overall) with their 30-0 loss to East Valley last week.
The Blackhawks’ attack is led by the running back Austin Kline and quarterback Andrew Graham.
The teams have only one common opponent. Cheney defeated Lakeland 27-9 a week before the Hawks thumped the Stags 51-0.
The Riverside Rams will complete the non-league portion of their football schedule when they travel to Kellogg for a 7 p.m. game on Friday.
A win would ensure the Rams (4-2) a winning season with a win.
The Wildcats (1-5) are coming off a 39-20 loss to Priest River in a game where Spartan quarterback Jimmy Hock threw six touchdown passes.
Kellogg’s lone win came on Sept. 27 when they defeated St. Maries 19-12. The win came four weeks after St. Maries defeated the Wildcats 48-7.
