The Riverside Rams kept things in balance, especially in the first half, in their home opener on Friday.
The Rams ran the ball 14 times in the first quarter and the same number in the second quarter as they built a 22-6 halftime lead over the Kettle Falls Bulldogs. Riverside stayed with the ground-oriented attack in the second half to cement a 29-6 win in the Northeast A League opener for both schools.
“It’s nice to get a league win under your belt, that’s for sure,” Griggs said.
Wesley Lyle Strong went home to be with the Lord on Monday Sept. 3 2012, in Fairbanks Alaska. He was 72 years old.
He was born to Lyle and Ethylene Strong on Oct. 26 1939, in Deer Park.
Wesley decided to follow his heart to Alaska and has called Fairbanks his home for more than 25 years.
He passed away with his family by his side. His ashes were spread along the banks of the Tanana River where he spent much of his time shooting his guns and watching the aurora borealis. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
