Police shooting suspect takes own life in Deer Park

Details remain sketchy surrounding a high-speed chase that began in north Spokane on Tuesday afternoon and ended with a fatal accident in Deer Park less than an 90 minutes later.
The suspect, originally identified as Charles Wallace by KXLY-TV, shot two Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies during a routine traffic stop at Elm Street and U.S. Highway 2 at around 4 p.m.
In a media briefing, Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich said one of the deputies needed surgery. He later said both deputies were in stable condition
