Copper thieves strike Avista power poles

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information regarding the theft of approximately 1,600 feet of copper wire sometime between May 6-22.
Avista Utilities officials said the wire was stolen between two power poles in the area of North Spotted and West Wild Rose roads. The estimated cost to replace the wire is $12,000.
Anyone with information about this theft is urged to call Crime Check at 456-2233
