Bender has strong showing at ORCA Duals

Riverside’s Derrick “Dewey” Bender, who finished his prep wrestling career with a Class 1A state championship in the 220-pound classification, scored a few more wins at the ORCA Duals last weekend in Ashland, Ore.
The duals featured some of the top senior wrestlers from Washington, Oregon and California.
Among Bender’s wins on Sunday was a 5-3 decision over Mick Dougherty of Barlow (Ore.) High School.
