Bomb threat forces DPHS evacuation

October 24, 2012

Deer Park High School was evacuated Wednesday morning following a bomb threat left in the girls bathroom.
The threat, written on a stall, said a bomb would go off at 1 p.m.
Sheriff’s department deputies and Spokane County Fire District No. 4 personnel were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters staged at Deer Park Elementary School.
Students were sent to nearby Arcadia Elementary School.
A bomb sniffing dog from Fairchild Air Force Base arrived in the afternoon. The canine sniffed the parking lot and the school. Students were allowed to go back to the school at around 2:30 p.m.
