Spokane County Sheriffâ€™s detectives are requesting the publicâ€™s help in identifying a male who possibly robbed The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy in Deer Park twice last month.
On Dec. 5, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a male robbed The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy at gunpoint. The suspect demanded oxycontin and displayed a silver pistol tucked in his waistband.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Dec. 30, the pharmacy was robbed again at gunpoint by a man demanding pain medication. During this incident, the suspect indicated he was armed with a gun, although no firearm was displayed.
The first changes in Deer Parkâ€™s liquor retail sales market, changed abruptly with the passage of Initiative 1185 in November, were felt last week in Olympia.
The Bi-Mart Corp. on Jan. 24 applied for a change in its current liquor license at its Deer Park store at S.412 Main St. to include the sale of spirits once the initiative takes effect in June.
The corporation also applied for the same change in its liquor license for its Cheney store.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held this spring for Loon Lake resident Michele D. Bourcy, 50, who passed away on Jan. 21, 2012.
Born on Sept.10, 1961, in Redondo Beach, Calif., to the late Michael and Gloria (McDougal) Mignogna, the family later relocated to the Seattle area when she was a child.
She moved to Loon Lake in 2000 and married Tommy Bourcy.
She enjoyed an 11-year career with the Coeur D'Alene Co. in Spokane as the receptionist and after as the accounts payable clerk.
