A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on on June 18 at the Peaceful Valley Church in Elk for longtime Chattaroy resident John O. Handegard, 86, who passed away on June 11 at the Hospice House in Spokane.
The burial will follow the service at the Chattaroy Cemetery. The family suggests memorials may be made to Peaceful Valley Church, Agape Fund, P.O. Box 9, Elk, WA 99009. At the request of Mr. Handegard, a special memorial would be for others to volunteer their time in helping the elderly or others in need.
Lauer Funeral Home, Deer Park, will be in charge of arrangements.
