Sheila R. Hoover passed away on Sept. 24, 2011, at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
She was born on July 3, 1966, to Donna Boardman. She was a hardworking woman who always gave a helping hand when needed.
She will be remembered for her smile, laugh and humor. She had interests including horseback riding, gardening, reading, singing, sewing and beadwork. She was very creative, artistic and had a sweet, innocent spirit about her.
Gov. Chris Gregoire announced on Monday that she will appoint Patrick Monasmith to the Superior Court serving Stevens, Pend Oreille and Ferry counties. Monasmith is a former court commissioner for Stevens County, and has extensive experience in private practice.
He will fill the judgeship being vacated by the retirement of Rebecca Baker.
The West Valley Eagles broke open a close game with a six-goal second half explosion to defeat Deer Park 8-2 in Great Northern League soccer action on Tuesday.
The win improved West Valley’s GNL record to 4-2 while Deer Park fell to 1-5.
Trailing 3-0 midway through the second half, the Lady Stags got on the scoreboard with an Alison Ruygrok goal. The Eagles retaliated with a Brittni Marro, her second of the game.
Nikki Ball also scored for Deer Park at the 67-minute mark.
West Valley outshot Deer Park 27-12.
