City may call on SCRAPS for dog control services |

City of Deer Park officials, faced with a growing number of dog complaints, is looking at maybe asking Spokane County Regional Animal Protection (SCRAPS) for help. SCRAPS Director Nancy Hill will present an overview of her agency to the city council on July 1. SCRAPS currently provides animal control services for the cities of Liberty Lake, Spokane Valley, Millwood and Cheney along with Fairchild Air Force Base. The agency is negotiating with the city of Spokane to take over its animal control duties next year, Hill added. |

Reward offered for Chattaroy fugitive |

Crime Stoppers, a civilian organization that promotes public safety, is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the capture of a 40-year-old Chattaroy fugitive wanted on a felony arrest warrant. Jason W. Gilmore is wanted for second-degree burglary. His 22-year criminal history has earned him the “repeat offender” designation and his convictions include possession of stolen property, drug possession, theft and forgery.
